The 2015 BMW 3 Series is the ultimate entry-level luxury car, available in an array of models and trims to suit your personal taste. The 3 Series has not changed much from 2014, except for offering Bluetooth audio connectivity as a standard feature on all models. New optional equipment has been added, as well as a few more standard features. The 2015 3 Series offers wagon, hatchback and sedan models, with gas and diesel engines, and even a hybrid electric motor. Needless to say, the BMW 3 Series has something for every driving situation, and you can be sure they are all fuel-efficient, high-performing cars.

Models and Trims
The 2015 3 Series has many types of vehicle available for each body style. The sedan has the 320i, 328i,328d and ActiveHybrid 3 trim levels. The wagon comes in 328i xDrive (BMW's all-wheel-drive), and 328d xDrive. The Gran Turismo 3 hatchback is offered in 328i xDrive and 335i xDrive.
Performance and Power
Except for the hybrid, all models are stocked with a turbocharged engine. All-wheel-drive is standard on the wagons and hatchback, hence the “xDrive” label, while rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive is an option for all other models, excluding the hybrid. The ActiveHybrid 3 has rear-drive electric engine with a motor and lithium-ion battery pack that works with a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine. The wagon and hatchback come with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the sedans have the option for a six-speed manual. Horsepowers range from 180-335.
Fuel Economy
All fuel economy numbers are very good for the 2015 3 Series. For sedans, the 320i can achieve 28 mpg combined, while the 328i gets 27. The 335i has a maximum of 25 mpg combined, while the ActiveHybrid 3 reaches 28. The Gran Turismo hatchback 328i earns 26 mpg combined, while the 335i xDrive drops slightly to 24. The best number is on the 328d diesel sedan, with rear-wheel-drive, that achieves 37 mpg combined.
Features
All trims are treated to a number of luxurious features inside and out. Entry level sedans get items such as push-button start, dual-zone climate control, leather tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, leatherette upholstery and 6-way adjustable front seats. The 328i adds features including heated side mirrors, 8-way power-adjustable front seats, and wood trim. Move up to the 335i and you get a sunroof, and larger wheels. The wagons get similar features, but add a panoramic sunroof. The hatchback has similar features for its 328i xDrive and 335i xDrive, but comes with a power liftgate for the hatch. The iDrive electronics interface and BMW assist is standard across the board. Several packages are offered that enhance technology, driver assist safety, cold weather driving and luxury. Top-of-the-line safety features are offered on all vehicles, and they each scored high on government and IIHS crash tests.
Pricing
For what these vehicles can do and how well they perform, the 3 Series is quite a steal. The lowest sedan trim starts with and MSRP of under $33,000 and goes up to $45,750. The wagons start at under $41,000 and end at $43,450. The Gran Turismos are priced at $42,000, and $47,250. The Hybrid model has an MSRP of $50,150. BMW offers a warranty of 4 years/50,000 miles, with a no-cost maintenance plan to supplement it. This can save up to $2000 in regular maintenance costs.
