• BMW 528i sports a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 that produces 240 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. The rear-wheel drive’s fuel economy rating is 23/34 mpg, and the all-wheel drive option averages an estimated 22/33 mpg.
• The BMW 535i and 535i GT kindles 300 hp with its 3.0-liter inline-6. The estimated fuel economy rating for the RWD 535i is 20/31 mpg, and the AWD model averages 20/29 mpg. The 535i GT version averages an estimated 18/28 mpg with the rear-wheel-drive drivetrain and 18/26 with the all-wheel drive option.
• Do you prefer diesel power? The turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 in the 535d produces 255 hp at 4000 RPM and 413 lb.-ft. of torque. The RWD fuel economy rating is 26/38 mpg and the AWD is 26/37 mpg.
• Let’s kick it up a little more to 445 hp and 480 lb.-ft. of torque in the 550i and 550i GT. The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 in the BMW 550i averages an estimated 17/25 with the RWD drivetrain and 16/25 with the AWD. The 550i GT averages 16/25 mpg RWD and 16/24 AWD.
• Need a little more? The twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 blazes up the track with 560 hp growling under the hood. The manual version averages an estimated 15/22 mpg and 14/20 mpg if you select the automatic transmission.
