The 2015 BMW X3 received a handful of modifications this year, including a new grille, headlights, and other styling upgrades. The 2015-model year received a 2.0-liter diesel engine that is both powerful and fuel-efficient. The starting MSRP has been lowered for the base model, which now comes with an available rear-wheel-drive drivetrain.
Power and Performance
The standard 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 produces 240 hp at 5000 RPM and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. The estimated fuel economy rating is 21/28 mpg. The standard inline-4 launches from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.2 seconds, and the top track speed is 127 mph. If you choose the new 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel inline-4, you will experience 180 hp, 280 lb.-ft. of torque, and 27/34 mpg. Increasing the power rating to 300 hp and 300 lb.-ft. of torque is the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 that that averages an estimated 19/26 mpg.
Interior Design
The luxurious BMW X3 provides optimal space and comfort for all five passengers. The front 8-way seats are leatherette buckets seats with mirror memory. The BMW allows for memory settings for two drivers. The memorization settings include seat position, audio, and climate controls. The rear seat is collapsible, allowing the driver and passengers to configure the seats to maximize accommodations for passengers or cargo. The max cargo capacity is 27.6 cubic feet. Storage and access features include side-door pockets, power liftgate and tailgate, folding center console with storage, and a cargo net.
